It happens with everyone, like it happened with me very recently that it is almost on my mind and today I want to share with you. There are times when you like a book and your friends labeled it as a disaster and at times we pick out some of our favorites and leave it with unread pages. There can be many reasons like it is does not fulfill our expectations or the plot is boring or is badly edited. When talking about myself, I abandon books when the main protagonists or the hero of the story is slaughtered by the author as it leaves me with poignancy. This might be representing me as overly dramatic character but can help it with this emotion of mine.
Have you ever observed what makes a book look bad to a reader?
Well, to answer this I have a hand list with few things that can surely ruin one’s write-up. These include:
Pathetic writing, out of the track content, ridiculous plot, awful editing, immorality, slow and monotonous story, failure to fulfill expectations.
Pathetic writing, out of the track content, ridiculous plot, awful editing, immorality, slow and monotonous story, failure to fulfill expectations.
So, hereby I am marking some of the picked-up books to read in the coming few years that were left abandoned with unread pages years ago.
- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
- Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
- Catch-22 by Joseph Heller
- Little Women by Lousia May Alcott
- Ulysses by James Joyce
Guys, the journey of life is short and prestigious thus we should endeavor to make it great by great readings. Thus, leave all those bad books out there and make a resolution of reading great literary works of some great authors. It is aptly said that, “A book to read is not the one that thinks for you but the one which makes you think”.
